- 简介：Kang Ning was born in 1938 in Yixian County, Liaoning Province. His brother, Kang Yin, is an expert in contemporary Chinese ancient characters, ancient seals, engraving, calligraphy, and painting. In his youth, Kang Ning learned to paint flowers and birds freehand, showing exceptional skill. He studied at the Beijing Arts and Crafts Institute, focusing on sketching from life to develop a solid foundation and meticulous technique. At the age of 24, he became a student of the master Chinese painter Li Kuchan, studying large-scale freehand flower-and-bird painting. For over 20 years, Kang Ning immersed himself in the teachings of Li Kuchan and later received personal guidance from him for more than a decade. Diligently practicing, Kang Ning inherited the true essence of Li Kuchan's art. He is also a fellow disciple of the renowned painter Fan Zeng.

康宁：1938年生于辽宁省义县，其兄为康殷（中国当代古文字学专家、古玺印专家、篆刻家、书法家、画家）。少时学写意花鸟，出手不凡。就学于北京工艺美院。注重写生，功底深厚，细致工润。24岁，拜国画大师李苦禅先生为师，学习大写意花鸟画，从此厕身先生门墙二十余年，后得苦禅大师无私亲灸十多年，勤而习之，得苦老真传。与著名画家范曾为同门师兄。
